It is your responsibility to ensure your application is completed fully.  However, if we have a question regarding your application, we may contact you by email.

Advice: Can I have a conversation with someone about my application before submission?

We would like at least one of your referees to be someone who has direct experience of your current or recent performance at school, such as a teacher or school principal. The other can be a character reference - someone who can make a recommendation based on their knowledge of your character like a coach, employer, or an organization you volunteer with.

Successful applicants: What will be expected of me if I’m successful?

As outlined under Available Awards, you will need to continue attending university or college and maintain a minimum B+ grade in all subjects. We might also ask you to provide details of your experience or future achievements to encourage other applicants.

Appeals:  Is there an appeals process?

There is no appeals process, but we might suggest you apply again if you think that with some improvements your application could be successful.

Feedback: Will you give feedback to applicants who would like to learn from the experience?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

Age limit: Is there an age limit for applicants?

There is no age limit to apply for a RRCF scholarship.

Citizenship / residence: Do applicants have to be Canadian citizens when they apply?

Applicants do not have to be citizens, but they must be legal residents of the provinces outlined under eligibility.

Field of study: I’m planning on studying the arts. Should I apply for this scholarship?

Preference will be given to students pursuing studies as noted under the Eligibility Rules, but this does not mean other areas of studies will not be considered.

Will you accept late applicants?

Do I receive the scholarship cheque directly?

If I change schools, will my scholarship be re-routed or renewed at my new school?
